1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and USUNO ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the USUNO mobile application and the website located at https://usuno.app.

By creating an account, pairing with a partner, downloading our application, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Couple Accounts & Pairing Architecture

To utilize the full capabilities of USUNO:

• You must be at least 16 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
• Each couple space is established when two registered individual accounts link via a unique 6-digit cryptographic pairing code.
• Both partners share equal ownership and viewing rights over collaborative objects (shared tasks, calendar entries, decision polls, and Uno companion milestones) generated within the paired space.
• Either partner may unpair at any time via in-app settings. Unpairing isolates the individual accounts and freezes shared state.

3. Subscriptions, Payments & Free Plan

USUNO offers both a robust Free tier (including full shared calendar, core tasks, pet companion Level 1–2, and basic streak tracking) and optional Premium subscriptions:

• One Couple, One Subscription: A single Premium subscription unlocks premium features (unlimited streak freeze shields, advanced themes, custom recurring routines, Level 5 pet evolutions) for both paired partners.
• Billing & Renewal: All subscription payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Refund requests are subject to the policies of the respective app platform (Apple App Store or Google Play).

4. Acceptable Use & Intellectual Property

USUNO is created for personal, intimate, and domestic life management between two consenting partners. You agree not to:

• Use USUNO for any unlawful, harassing, threatening, or harmful activity.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or proprietary pet animation algorithms of USUNO.
• Bypass security controls, rate limiters, or authentication tokens.

All visual assets, trademarks, Uno companion artwork, software logos, and UI designs are the exclusive property of USUNO.

5. Warranties & Limitation of Liability

USUNO is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

While we maintain 99.9% cloud uptime, robust PostgreSQL backups, and TLS encryption, USUNO does not provide legal, financial, marriage therapy, or medical advice. Features such as shared budgeting and calendar reminders are tools to assist couple coordination.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, USUNO and its officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

6. Account Termination & Deletion

You may terminate these Terms at any time by permanently deleting your account through the app or by visiting https://usuno.app/delete-account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in security tampering.

7. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable consumer laws without regard to conflict of law principles.
