We believe intimate relationship memories, daily routines, grocery lists, calendar schedules, and decision polls belong exclusively to you and your partner. We do not sell your personal data, we do not scan your private communication, and our mobile application is built with a zero-ad architecture.
1. Who We Are & Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy governs the processing of information collected through the USUNO mobile applications (iOS and Android) and our official website (https://usuno.app). For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection legislation, USUNO operates as the Data Controller of your personal account information.

2. Information We Collect & How It Is Used
We strictly limit our data collection to what is technically necessary to provide a real-time collaborative experience for two partners:
Account Authentication & Couple Pairing
When you sign up via Email or Google OAuth, we store your email address, unique account identifier, display name, and avatar preference. To connect with your partner, an ephemeral 6-digit cryptographic pairing code is generated. Once paired, your couple space links only the two authenticated account IDs.
Collaborative Couple Content
Your shared data includes: Shared Calendar Events, To-Do Checklists, Grocery Items, Decision Polls, Milestone Memories, and Pet Companion (Uno) evolution levels. All collaborative entries are stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases with Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring access is restricted strictly to you and your linked partner.
Technical Diagnostics & Push Notifications
To deliver timely reminders (e.g., anniversary alerts, partner check-in nudges, streak freeze safety notices), we process Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device push tokens. Anonymous crash telemetry (via Firebase Crashlytics) helps us diagnose device crashes without transmitting personal journal entries.
3. Cookies, Web Analytics & Advertising Disclosures
To keep our educational guides, relationship articles, and marketing website accessible to the public, our website (https://usuno.app) uses standard web cookies and partners with third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense.
- Google AdSense & Third-Party Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet.

Request a full structured JSON export of all calendar entries, task histories, and shared milestones.
Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten)
Permanently delete your account, partner pairing link, and all associated media from our primary and backup databases.
Right to Rectification
Correct any inaccurate email, profile preference, timezone, or relationship date at any time.
Non-Discrimination Guarantee
We never penalize, alter service pricing, or degrade features if you exercise your legal privacy rights.
5. Data Retention & Permanent Account Deletion
We retain your relationship data only for as long as your couple account remains active. If you decide to close your account:
You can initiate an immediate deletion directly within the mobile app under Profile Hub > Security > Delete Account, or through our web deletion portal at: https://usuno.app/delete-account.
Upon confirming deletion, all database records, shared checklists, and authentication credentials are purged within 30 days.
6. Security Architecture & Encryption Standards
USUNO enforces bank-grade security protocols:
- In-Transit Protection: All network traffic uses TLS 1.3 encryption with strict HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS).
- At-Rest Protection: Stored databases and media buckets use AES-256 bit encryption.
- Biometric App Lock: The mobile app optionally supports hardware Face ID, Touch ID, and Android Biometric Prompt to shield your screen from local shoulder-surfing.
